Privacy Policy
Last updated: [DATE]
This is a starting draft, not a finished policy. Mortgage brokers are subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and its privacy-notice requirements, and to state privacy laws that vary by where your clients live. Have counsel or your compliance provider review and complete this before launch, and replace every bracketed placeholder.
Information we collect
When you submit the form on this site, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, phone number, and the property and loan details you provide. Our web host also records standard server log data, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
The DSCR calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The values you enter into it are not transmitted to us or stored anywhere.
How we use it
We use the information you submit to evaluate your financing scenario, to respond to your inquiry, and to communicate with you about it by phone, email, or text. If you proceed with a loan, we share the information necessary to place and process that loan with lenders, and with service providers such as appraisers, title companies, and settlement agents.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Communications
By submitting the form, you consent to being contacted about your inquiry. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us directly. We may still contact you about an active transaction.
Cookies and analytics
[Describe any analytics or advertising tools you use — for example Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or a call-tracking service — and how visitors can opt out. If you use none, say so here and delete this bracket.]
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect information submitted to us, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Please do not send Social Security numbers, dates of birth, account numbers, or identification documents through the website form; we will provide a secure method when those are needed.
Your choices and rights
[Depending on where your clients reside, they may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of their information — for example under the CCPA/CPRA in California. Describe the rights that apply and how someone exercises them.]
Retention
[State how long you keep inquiry and loan records. Note that record-retention periods for licensed mortgage brokers are set by state and federal rules and may be longer than you'd otherwise choose.]
Children
This site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The revision date at the top reflects the most recent change.
